I can only hope

By Seth A. McConnell
That I’m as lively and full of spunk when I’m 89 as was a subject I shot late last week named Sylvia.
She was scooting around the house helping do light house work, making cookies (which were delicious!) and to top our time off together she put on some polka and danced around the living room with her care taker Paulina.
While she didn’t dance long as she got tired she still did dance.

I captured a moment at the very end that will make me smile for a long time.

The story will be running later this week.

‘Tis the Season

Hi,

Once again, it’s that time of year to pick out a Christmas tree. I made this photograph of Cher and her son Quinn picking out their tree at the Rapid City Club for Boys’ Christmas tree lot on Saturday. I like this photograph because it’s a slice of life, a slice of American culture. And it makes a person think of winter and the changing season. Often, I’m to busy to stop and notice the seasons. But on Saturday, I’m glad I did.
