Guidelines for comments
Welcome to Feedback & Distortion, the Rapid City Journal’s music blog. Everyone is encouraged to comment and participate, but there are a few guidelines that we ask everybody to follow.
1. Don’t be obscene or libelous. Posts with obscenities – even if it’s in a band name or song title – will not be approved. It doesn’t mean you can’t write about those bands or songs at all; it just means you have to find a clean way to do it.
2. Avoid personal attacks. Saying Green Day’s latest album stinks: Perfectly fine. Calling a Green Day fan an idiot for liking the band’s latest album: Not so fine.
3. Keep the focus on music. We’re here to have a good time writing about music, recommending bands, reviewing albums, discussing local and national music and finding out what local fans like you have to say.
4. You may use whatever name you choose to comment – real or pseudonym – but be sure to provide a valid e-mail address (we won’t publish it).
