Welcome to Citizen Critic

June 5th, 2009

By Eric Lochridge

Citizen Critic is the Rapid City Journal’s forum for audience reviews of stage performances in the Black Hills. We will open a thread for a particular performance, and you can offer your opinions about the show.

We’ll feature your reviews of performances from the Black Hills Playhouse, Black Hills Community Theatre, Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and other venues hosting live performances in the area.

If we don’t have a thread started for a show you’d like to review or have reviewed, e-mail features@rapidcityjournal.com, and we’ll open one.

Before proceeding, though, please familiarize yourself with a few guidelines:

First, oddly enough, you must have attended the performance you review.

Second, we won’t post anonymous reviews and you must post using your real name.

Third, we won’t post reviews containing offensive language or profanity.

Fourth, comments about reviews should stay on topic. Focus your comments on the performance, not on other reviewers you may or may not agree with.

Not adhering to these guidelines may result in your post being obliterated, without notification.
